The Mayans and Egyptians constructed incredible feats of architecture able to weather the test of time, but they had no idea their pyramids would inspire the shape of the latest carbon-neutral super-structure to hit Dubai.

There's been furious construction going on in Dubai for the last several years, resulting in some really bizarre, and IMO, tacky infrastructure.

I've seen a profile of the emir on 60 Minutes. The exploitation of cheap labor to sustain all this infrastructure building is concerning.

I'm waiting to see whether the "1 million" manage to move in. That should be interesting. As to exploiting cheap labour...that's how all pyramids are build, isn't it!?
